Judgment Day Approaching for Tiller—

June 2007, the Kansas AG filed 19 misdemeanor charges against George Tiller.  In 2003, Tiller broke a state law which requires a second doctor with no financial connection to sign off on a late term abortion performed.  His second opinion, Dr. Ann Kristin Neuhaus, had financial ties with Tiller.  On Tuesday, Sedgwick County District Judge Clark Owens said that he will issue a ruling within the next two weeks regarding the dismissal request made by Tiller’s lawyers.  This decision has been pending since November, when a hearing about the matter occurred.  The dismissal request was made on grounds stating that the law is unconstitutional.
