Enough is Enough!

Here’s is a quick recap to get you up-to-date on what is happening in Kansas…

2004—

  • Suspicious of the number of illegal late term abortions performed on underage girls, Kansas Attorney General at that time, Phill Kline, requested subpoenas for 90 females’ medical records who had received abortions from George Tiller in Wichita and Planned Parenthood in Overland Park.
  • The subpoenas were issued and the abortion industry immediately asked the Kansas Supreme Court to intercede due to privacy concerns.  The Kansas Supreme Court complied with this request.

2006—

  • The Kansas Supreme Court ordered the medical records be given to Kline after names of patients were removed from the records.  Judge Anderson had a team of experts remove personal information and after examining the documents stated “it appears someone has manufactured” sections of the subpoenaed paperwork.  This would imply that a felony had been committed in an attempt to cover up a misdemeanor.
  • Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline filed 30 criminal charges against abortionist George Tiller for performing illegal abortions.
  • Later that same day, Sedgewick County district attorney spoke with a judge who then dismissed the charges without reviewing any of the case evidence.

2007—

  • 19 charges against George Tiller were re-instated.
  • Paul Morrison, who replaced Phill Kline, resigned from the office of Attorney General after a sex scandal and an abortion corruption scandal became public.  Morrison was replaced by governor appointed Steve Six.

2008—

  • Tiller’s trial dates have continuously been delayed and the trial is now set to occur on June 16.  107 criminal charges are filed against the Planned Parenthood in Johnson County, Kansas.
  • Kansas Attorney General Steve Six worked to get the records released back to Planned Parenthood from court possession, which would allow Planned Parenthood to further alter the medical records and remove any incriminating evidence.
  • After these actions became public, Attorney General Steve Six changed his request to returning the documents after the criminal cases were decided.

This obstruction of justice is unacceptable.  Not only have illegal abortions been performed without consequences, but attempts to cover tracks by falsifying documents have also gone unpunished. Although Planned Parenthood is attempting to sue District Attorney Phill Kline to return the medical records, Kline did in fact lawfully obtain the records while he was Attorney General.  His office still has possession of the carefully secured medical records. Every judge who has viewed the documents has found probable cause.  One must ask how this case, which clearly violates Kansas law on several fronts, has been delayed since 2004.  Why is the abortion industry seemingly above the law?

Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, offers one explanation.  He stated, “Tiller has pumped huge amounts of cash into Democratic politics in this state through a complicated series of PAC’s and shell organizations that are extremely difficult to track.  There is no doubt in my mind if you were to remove the Tiller money from the past two election cycles, we would not see pro-abort Democrats such as [Governor] Sebelius, [Attorney General] Six and others in office today.”  Troy Newman also said, “If Tiller is convicted of crimes, they know that they will not be able to hold on to power in this Red state.  Does that mean that Sebelius would order Six to submarine the Tiller prosecution?  Well, all I can say is that money and power are strong incentives to do just that.”

The corruption, scandal, criminal concealment and bribery surrounding this court case is a severe injustice to the citizens of Kansas—both born and unborn.  It is time for political agendas to be left behind and for the law to be enforced!  Lives are put at risk every single day that this case is delayed.  Tolerance of this political corruption and delaying of justice at the expense of innocent blood is inexcusable!  It is time for the people of Kansas to stand up for themselves, and the law they abide by, and say “Enough is enough!” to Governor Sebelius, Attorney General Six, and the abortion industry profiteers.
